Ongoing - FREE WEB BASED SERIES - MAKING A DIFFERENCE: A COMMUNITY IMPACT SERIES FROM THE COF CENTER FOR COMMUNITY FOUNDATION EXCELLENCE
This interactive series is designed to help your community foundation board members, CEOs/Executive Directors, senior staff, program officers and communications staff increase and highlight the impact of your community leadership and grantmaking, from assessing community needs and opportunities to creating and executing strategies and communicating the results of your efforts. It builds on the research of experts on community impact and has been validated by community foundation representatives. This six-session series begins with one session designed for all audiences, and proceeds to add depth in five subsequent sessions. Participate on your own, or engage a team.

June 18 to 20 - Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees National ConveningPromoting Immigrant Integration: Leadership in Challenging Times - Chicago, IL

June 24, 12pm Central (US) - FREE WEBINAR - GIVING USA 2008, CHANGING DATA INTO ACTION
Join moderators, Peter Fissinger, CFRE, President, Edith H. Falk, CFRE, Chair and CEO and a panel of nonprofit leaders, Mike Poston, Vice President for Advancement, Guilford College, Greensboro, NC, John Swanholm, System Director of Philanthropy, Health East Foundation, St. Paul, MN, and Marcia Mintz, Chief Development Officer, Valley of the Sun United Way, Phoenix, AZ for a look at the latest trends in giving in the U.S.   Giving USA 2008, conducted by the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University for the Giving Institute is the timeliest and most comprehensive report on American philanthropy.  The report will be released on June 23 and presents the research on charitable giving for the year ended December 31, 2007.

June 27 DEADLINE – SYNERGOS INSTITUTE SENIOR FELLOWS APPLICATION
The Synergos Institute is currently accepting applications for the next class of Senior Fellows beginning January 2009.  The Senior Fellows Network is a program for distinguished international civil society leaders committed to working collaboratively with other NGOs, businesses, and government agencies to achieve social change. Synergos Senior Fellows participate in a three-year learning, service and action program that aims to build their skills, spread their knowledge, and deepen their impact. There are currently nearly 100 Fellows from more than 30 countries, including some of the most well-respected heads of civil society organizations throughout Asia, Africa and Latin America.  BPP colleagues, Karen Yarza of the Fundación Comunitaria de la Frontera Norte and Carla Roberts, Arizona Community Foundations are Senior Fellows Alumni.   The deadline for applications is June 27, 2008. The Centro Mexicano para la Filantropía, A.C. and the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO) invite all interested to join them at the confernece titled, Solidaridad y Gobernanza para el Cambio Social (Solidarity and Governance for Social Change).  The conference will be held on campus at the Instituto Tecnológico y de  Estudios Superiores de Occidente in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco.

The 2008 Boardsource Leadership Forum, enVISION Imagine What's Possible, will be held in.  The forum examines the interdependence and far-reaching impact of forces that are affecting leadership and governance such as demographic change; financial insecurity; technology pervasiveness; and increasingly indistinct sector lines.
