BPP EVENTS
BPP learning events provide BPP partners unique, tailored learning opportunities and a valued space for partners to get to know one another, share resources and identify potential collaboration on quality of life issues in the border region.
Learning events feature expert speakers and facilitators from the world of philanthropy in the US, Mexico and internationally. Through a peer learning approach agendas for learning events are also constructed to maximize the rich knowledge, experience and expertise already resident within the BPP network.
Specifically, the different types of learning events/activities offered by the BPP to member foundations include:
- Learning Communities typically take place in the spring months. These meetings are the BPP’s official annual conference. Learning communities focus on promoting collaboration between BPP members and planning for growing and strengthening the partnership into the future.
- Thematic Meetings are held in the fall and are focused on BPP programmatic areas.
- Peer Learning Exchanges are opportunities for border community foundations to tap into the resident knowledge of BPP partners. Synergos staff help arrange exchanges on an on-demand basis in response to foundations that are tackling an issue that they want advice on from BPP partners.
- Events Calendar tracks general non-BPP events of potential interest to BPP partners.
