OUR MISSION

To improve the standards of living of the people of Sonora by engaging the resources of its industries and promoting a culture of civic duty and participation in sustainable practices amongst the members of the community and its institutions with the aim of fighting poverty and marginalization within the community.

OUR VISION

To be able to count on the acknowledgement and acceptance of our community and its industry in our efforts to combat poverty and marginalization, and to have realized the goal of integrating the public, private and social sectors in our efforts, consequently, establishing a precedent of cooperation that will continue to facilitate the pursuit of our mission, for the benefit of today’s and future generations.

Areas of Focus: Education and Training, Health, Economic Sustainability

PENNIES FOR COMPUTERIZING SCHOOLS

Our great achievement in Nogales has been the establishment of The Inter-sector Alliance, funded by community donations through the initiative, Programa Operación Redondeo (Operation Round Up) and contributions from the Ayuntamiento de Nogales (Nogales City Council), independent business people and the maquiladora industry. The Inter-sector initiative, with the UNETE program, in collaboration with the State Government, labors to meet the computing and connectivity needs of the area’s schools. For March of this year we have secured the resources to outfit eight schools in the area with fifteen computers each.

Marco Antonio Martinez (right) greeting F. Osvaldo, director of the Salesian work and Deijuven in Nogales.
“My sincerest appreciation and thanks to our friends and mentors from Fundación del Empresariado Chihuahuense (FECHAC) for their invaluable counsel and guidance, as well as to the businessmen and women of Sonora that believed in this once beautiful dream, that today is a vibrant reality. Together we achieve a better future for all Sonora.” Marco Antonio Martinez, State President and founder of FESAC

Presently FESAC has a solid presence in the cities of Nogales, Hermosillo and Obregón, along with plans to expand our activities throughout the state of Sonora.
